Question: What tire and wheel sizes came standard on Capri?

Answer: The 14x5-1/2 wheel (both steel and geometric alloy) used a P185/60R14 tire. The 15x6 three-spoke alloy wheel used a P195/50HR15 tire. The 14x6 five-spoke alloy wheel used a P185/60R14 tire. And the 15x6 seven-spoke alloy wheel used a P195/50R15 tire.

The Hollander interchange gives this info on wheels for the '91 - '94 Capri. I've included info from US sales brochures about the years the wheels were available and on what model.

Online conversion site says: 4.5 Inches (bolt circle diameter) = 114.3 Millimeters

To determine the bolt circle diameter on a four-lug wheel measure from the center of one stud hole directly across the center of the wheel to the center of the opposite stud hole. The measurement will equal the bolt circle diameter.

Question: I have a Capri XR2 with a blown transaxle and I have a Capri standard parts car with a good manual transaxle. Are the two transaxles interchangeable?

Answer: No, the two transaxles are not interchangeable without major modification. At the very least the clutch in the standard is hydraulically actuated and the clutch in the XR2 is cable actuated. The gear ratios are different in the two transaxles and the half shafts are bigger.
